Tuchel:Results are not Logical

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel claimed it was “not logical” that Liverpool earned a dramatic Champions League victory over his side.

Roberto Firmino came off the bench to score an injury-time winner to earn the Reds a 3-2 win in their Group C opener at Anfield on Tuesday night.

A Daniel Sturridge header and James Milner's penalty put Liverpool 2-0 ahead, but PSG hit back through Thomas Meunier before the break and Kylian Mbappe seven minutes from time.

And Tuchel, who had been on the receiving end of a late winner while Borussia Dortmund boss at Anfield in 2016, couldn't make sense of what happened in the closing stages.

“Maybe the score didn't tell the story of the game,” he said. “Right at the end, we had the chance with Julian Draxler that could have won it before Liverpool scored.

“We put in a great performance in the first half. For me, the result was not logical or correct.
